performed as a virtual hike, "the juan de fuca trail" was recorded live from quarantine on saturday, april 25th, for the streaming series "listen to music safely in your home next to a fern" hosted by leaving records.

split into five pieces, this fragmentation was made to respect the journey of the trail. traveling north, the titles of i-v name the colonized territories as identified by the parks department of british columbia as well as the pacheedaht first nation historic villages that one walks alongside. all love to the land and the pacheedaht peoples who have stewarded the region for 5,000+ years. all contempt for juan de fuca / ioannis phokas, king philip ii, captain cook, and charles william barkley who brought disease, colonization, and exploitative commerce. may the name of this stunning marine trail one day see change.

most purchases have been donated towards grassroots land return and reparations projects + the rest has been reinvested into never content, an arts label that i run out of my bedroom. infinite gratitude.
